ABOUT 12 000 Blue Bulls supporters hopped on to Rea Vaya buses to watch their team take on the Stormers at Orlando Stadium in Soweto for the Super 14 final.

There was enough space at Nasrec for four buses to load passengers at the same time. Ngcobo added that there were no major challenges on the day except for traffic congestion caused by private cars on the route to Soweto. The Bulls used the Soweto stadium after their home ground, Loftus Versfeld, was handed over to FIFA for the World Cup. It was the first time a major rugby final had been played in the township. "For future and similar operations we will beef up the number of marshals selling tickets to people going to and coming from the matches," said Vasco Ndebele, Rea Vaya's station manager.
