Rea Vaya service arrangements for the Telkom Charity cup game |

The Rea Vaya BRT will be running additional buses for spectators going to the Telkom Charity Cup Game at Soccer City on Saturday 7 August 2010.
“We want to make sure that we can offer spectators the same world class service that we offered during the 2010 Soccer World Cup”, said MMC Moosajee, MMC for Transport in the City of Joburg. “We urge soccer lovers to use the Rea Vaya BRT for a safe and quick journey to and from the stadium”, she added.
In addition to the usual services on Saturday, additional buses will leave from both Soweto, Ellis Park and the CBD to Soccer City from 8 am in the morning and buses will be available to take spectators home after the match. The return ticket fair will be R12.00. We would like to stress that unlike the Soccer World Cup, no ordinary Saturday services will be disrupted, said MMC Moosajee.
Fans are urged to note the following detailed arrangements.
- From 08:00 to 10:00 a bus will depart every 15 minutes from both Thokoza Park and Ellis Park stations
- From 10:00 to 16:00 a bus will depart every 10 minutes from both Thokoza Park and Ellis Park stations
- The last buses to Soccer City will depart from the above points of origin to the stadium one hour before final match kickoff at 17:00
- After the game, passengers going to Soweto should go to the Soccer City Rea Vaya station situated north of the stadium on the Soweto highway. Passengers going to the CBD and Ellis Park should go to the Nasrec Rea Vaya station at the transport hub, south of the stadium.
