Rea Vaya will supply extra buses to ferry soccer lovers from the CBD,
Additional buses will ferry spectators to the Telkom Cup The member of the mayoral committee for transport, Rehana Moosajee, explained that the City wanted to offer the same world class service experienced during the 2010 soccer world cup. “We urge soccer lovers to use the Rea Vaya BRT for a safe and quick journey to and from the stadium,” she said. Buses will depart every 15 minutes from both Thokoza Park and Ellis Park stations from 8am to 10am. From 10am to 4pm buses will depart every 10 minutes from both stations. Moosajee stressed that Saturday services will continue to operate as usual without any disruptions. Soccer fans can park their cars at the Constitution Hill garage and walk a short distance to the Constitution Hill Rea Vaya station from where they can board a bus to the stadium for a return fare of R12, 00. Rea Vaya services from the Constitution Hill station to the stadium will be improved to accommodate fans leaving their cars at the Conhill parking garage. Parking tickets can be obtained at Computicket or www.ticketbreak.co.za. After the game, soccer lovers going to Soweto and Constitution Hill can catch their bus at the Rea Vaya station north of the stadium along the Soweto Highway, while those heading to the CBD and Ellis Park can board buses at the Nasrec Rea Vaya station, south of the stadium.
