”The C2 route will complete the implementation of Phase 1A of the Rea Vaya project,” said Rehana Moosajee, MMC for Transportation in the City of Johannesburg. “We hope that the introduction of this route will improve mobility around Soweto as well as give more residents safe, reliable and affordable transport,” she added. The route begins at the corner of Elias Motsoaledi and Shomayeli Street in Dobsonville and turns into Koma Road. There are visible designated Rea Vaya bus stops every 500m on Koma Road. From Koma Road the bus turns into Chris Hani Road straight to Maponya Mall via Thokoza Park station and Lakeview station.
