REA VAYA has put in place an Operator Business Plan modelled on the successful Bus Rapid Transit systems set up in Latin America.

Like Johannesburg, they too had to deal with large numbers of taxis and buses competing for routes and passengers.

Steering liaison committee has been set up

Taxi and bus operators have now become the new Rea Vaya drivers or maintenance managers.

A Taxi Liaison Steering Committee, with representatives from the Regional Taxi Council and Top Six Management, has been set up to negotiate a range of logistical issues with Rea Vaya.
