AT present, Rea Vaya has a trunk route between Ellis Park in Doornfontein and Thokoza Park in Soweto. There are 33 stations on the 25,5km route, which uses large articulated buses that hold 112 passengers.
On the trunk route
There is currently one complementary route, running from Dobsonville in Soweto to the Joburg CBD and Ellis Park, and a distribution system running as a circular route through the inner city, taking in Braamfontein and Hillbrow and Constitution Hill.
A number of feeder routes are also operational: from Naledi to Thokoza Park; Jabavu to Lake View Station; Mofolo to Boomtown Station; Protea Glen to Thokoza Park; and Eldorado Park to Thokoza Park.
The complementary and feeder routes use smaller 75-seater buses.
